News Producer Shifts to Comedy

Former “Hardball” supervising producer Jeremy Bronson will be poking fun at the news in his new job as a writer for “Chocolate News,” a new series on Comedy Central starring David Alan Grier, the New York Observer says. The series will present fake TV newsmagazine stories reported by a mostly black cast. Bronson is the only former newsman on the show’s staff, and says his background is a benefit. “It’s useful because we’re parodying a format that I worked in for some time. Many of the pieces are parodies of the kinds of things we might have covered at MSNBC.”
