Nickelodeon is gearing-up for its quadrennial election coverage, Broadcasting & Cable reports. An election team comprising Lil’ JJ, Pick Boy and Lily Collins will report from the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. Also, anchor Linda Ellerbee will host two half-hour prime-time specials: “Tales From the Trail,” airing Aug. 24, and the “Kids Pick the President” special.

I watch many of the Nick shows with my kids and have noticed some blatant bias. 1) I have not heard the little reporters talk about anyone but obama, my kids wouldnt even know he was actually Running Against someone if I wasnt there to explain it. Fine, now that the RNC is underway we will see them report on that.. uh no, I do see countless reruns of the old DNC ‘reporting’ but none for the RNC as of yet and it’s over today. Good job Nick. Good job at smeering your own name with blatant bias. I also explained why what you did was wrong and my children no longer view your network in a favorable light. They ‘use’ you to watch only one or two shows now. You lose.
I couldn’t agree more. The Republican Convention has been over for quite some time now, and I have not seen a single mention of John McCain or Sarah Palin. I think it’s despicable. If they would like to “educate” children about the election process, I think that’s great, but the clear bias they are displaying are simply educating another generation on the bias that is so clear in the mainstream media.
We were watching this morning and a “public service” announcement came on urging people to vote, but that was basically an Obama campaign ad. Pictures of Obama, but not McCain.
I’m considering boycotting Nick and writing them a letter to stop promoting Obama!
I was watching Nick with my 11 yr. old daughter this evening and the commercials about voting for Obama came up. I’m all for educating kids about the election process and waited for over an hour, but the “other side” was not shown. Educating is a far cry from indoctrinating… When I mentioned the obvious discrimination against the McCain/Palin ticket, she informed me that she had never seen anything but Obama-related commercials. I will be educating my daughter in her other “choices” for television entertainment, starting with a boycott of Nick.
I find this Obama bias on Nickelodeon reprehensible. Where’s the balance? Watching Nick with my children, I feel like I’m living in a socialist state with government-run TV and fawning ads about the dictator-in-chief. I’m sure Fidel Castro would be proud.
Maybe Nickelodeon would prefer to only have Obama supporters viewing its programming? Maybe they don’t want audience that is also comprised of the millions of American families who will be voting for McCain on Nov. 4th.
I say, give them what they want.

We have also witnessed the Obama bias in Nick. It comes as no suprise remebering a former kids news show that used to air. It was loaded with far left propaganda featuring such important subjects to kids as: homosexual couples with childern, an anti-war child (at a time when the Iraq war was viewed vaery favorably), and varoius praises of multiculturalism. Regarding the Kids Pick the President site, did anyone notice the button you click on that says “Vote”. The symbol inside the letter “o” looks too much like the Obama logo. Luckily we have a dish, and have many other choices for children’s programming.
