Walt Disney will relaunch its Toon Disney as Disney Xtreme Digital in February in an effort to compete against Viacom’s Cartoon Network, Daily Variety reports. Cartoon Network’s ratings are likely to be bolstered by a new Star Wars show and a series based on multiplayer online game FusionFall while Disney Xtreme Digital, whose shows include “Batman: The Animated Series,” gives advertisers another network that targets children, the newspaper says.

Viacom owns Nickelodeon and its kin; CN is owned by Time Warner, specifically Turner Entertainment Networks Group.
