ESPN and the regional sports network YES have scheduled programming about New York’s Yankee Stadium in anticipation of the final game being played there on Sunday, Multichannel News reports. In addition to re-airing a documentary special about the field, pre-game coverage before Sunday’s Yankees game will include special interviews with current and former team members. ESPN will also air several hours of pre-game content, while ESPN Classic will showcase a 20-hour marathon of baseball highlights that happened at the stadium, the trade says.

It’s great that they are doing a tribute like this, but the old Yankee Stadium should have been declared a city landmark and saved, and I;m sure that’s not only my opinion.
Why not move it to Cooperstown?
