Advertising Age is reporting the nation’s top 100 media companies saw a 4.6% revenue boost last year. The year marked the slowest revenue boost for media since 2001. And that’s data for 2007. Digital proved to be the silver lining, with revenue up 10.8%; cable was close behind with 10.6% growth. Broadcast networks and stations also showed 10.6% growth. In last place, newspapers brought down the average by losing 6.8% from the previous year.
