Talks about an NFL Network deal with ESPN that might boost its cable distribution remain incomplete and could be at an impasse as the football-centric channel faces a new season with smaller audiences than it had at the end of last year, the New York Times reports. The NFL is at odds with ESPN on how the channel would run and how it would be structured in any possible deal, the newspaper says.
