Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, who resisted being interviewed on Fox News Channel during the primary campaign, had a private meeting with Fox execs led by FNC Chairman Roger Ailes and News Corp. boss Rupert Murdoch that may have helped pave the way for Obama’s appearance on Bill O’Reilly’s prime-time show Thursday, the Washington Post reports. The secret meeting was first disclosed in a new book by Vanity Fair’s Michael Wolff, which is being excerpted in the magazine this month.
