WECT-TV, Raycom Media’s station in Wilmington, N.C., has added an instructional component to its analog channel for residents still needing help transitioning from analog to digital, TVNewsday reports. A five-minute alternating instructional video alerts viewers that the analog channel is no longer being programmed. “We decided the best way to explain the changes in our coverage area and best practices for digital reception was to use our own medium and broadcast to those who may still be having difficulties receiving our digital signal,” WECT General Manager Gary McNair told TVNewsday.
