Comcast Media Center Buys Radiance Tech for $5M

Comcast Media Center has purchased Radiance Technologies for $5 million, CedMagazine.com reports. Radiance’s assets include patented technologies for scheduling and executing data transfers, and for controlling data transfer rates, Ced says. According to the Web site, the acquisition will boost Comcast’s in-house software development capabilities for supporting the content management needs of its HITS Quantum affiliates as well as its content services customers.
