ESPN May Battle Fox in Soccer Bid

Walt Disney unit ESPN is planning to bid on broadcasting rights for German’s top soccer league, while German cable network Premier, whose biggest shareholder is Rupert Murdoch, may make a similar bid, Daily Variety reports. The rights would last as long as four years and may be worth more than $600 million per season, the newspaper says.
