U.K. pay-cable service BSkyB said it boosted its fiscal first-quarter customer base by 87,000 to about 9.1 million, though its profit fell 13% from a year earlier as many customers downgraded their service to save money, Daily Variety reports. The company maintained its forecast of reaching 10 million subscribers by 2010, the newspaper says.
