After a two-season run, FX has given the ax to the drama “The Riches,” Daily Variety reports. Low ratings were the reason behind the decision. The total number of viewers dropped 44% during the show’s second season in the 18-49 demographic. The show, about a family of gypsies led by parents played by Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver, premiered in March 2007 to a healthy start but slipped precipitously after that. The last episode was aired in April after the season was shortened by the writers strike.
