If kids who watch Nickelodeon were the ones voting for president, Sen. Barack Obama would be in the White House come January, Broadcasting & Cable reports. A record 2.2 million votes were cast in the network’s online poll that has, since 1988, correctly predicted the country’s next president save for the 2004 vote when John Kerry won amongst the kids. Host Linda Ellerbee thinks it’s wonderful to see kids vote. “What really counts is this: They participated in democracy. They voted. How can this be anything but good?” Ellerbee said.
