Ion Media Networks, along with NBC Universal, Telemundo and members of the Association of Public Television Stations, will conduct analog shut-off tests in markets including New York City, Los Angeles, Washington and Hartford, Conn., TVNewsday reports. The tests come as a response to FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein’s request for digital transition testing campaigns across the country. New York City will be the first of the markets to conduct a test, with one scheduled for Oct. 28. Los Angeles and Washington will conduct tests Dec. 2.
