The head of ad sales at MTV Networks, Hank Close, is leaving the company at the end of the year, TelevisionWeek says. Mr. Close won’t be replaced. Instead, the top ad sales execs will report directly to the people who manage and program the company’s networks, including MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon. “To ensure that we’re in the best position going forward, we will more closely align our ad sales structure with our powerful brands,” MTV Networks CEO Judy McGrath said in a memo, TVWeek says.
