Media ratings company Nielsen is shutting down its social networking Web site Hey! Nielsen and will replace it with a new consumer site, MediaPost reports. A message sent to subscribers and posted on the site’s homepage reads, “We thank you for sharing your passionate opinions with us over the last year. Your feedback was not only insightful, but also a valuable component in several research project at Nielsen. The site in its current form will go offline in the next few days.” No additional details about the site’s termination were released.
