FCC Buys $1 Million in AARP Ad Space

Oct 17, 2008  •  Post A Comment

As part of its efforts to educate the general public about February’s national switch to digital television, the Federal Communications Commission has bought $1 million worth of advertising in AARP publications, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The huge sum buys full-page ads in AARP’s November and December bulletins, as well as a full-page ad in the English- and Spanish-language versions of its Winter magazine. DTV convertor box applications will be included with the ads, B&C says.
