Oprah Hit With $180 Mil. Suit

Keifer Bonvillain, a Louisiana man accused of trying to extort money from Oprah Winfrey, has filed a suit against the talk show host, her attorney and the FBI for $180 million in damages, the Associated Press reports. Bonvillain was arrested in December 2006 by the FBI after threatening to go public with phone calls he recorded with some employees of Winfrey’s production team unless he was paid anywhere between $500,000 to $3 million. Those charges against him were dismissed, the wire service says.
