The second season of VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab” kicks off tonight and, to ring in the newest edition of the substance-abuse rehabilitation reality show featuring C- and D-list celebrities, the Associated Press interviews the show’s Dr. Drew Pinsky and rehab patient Rodney King, the victim in a Los Angeles police brutality trial whose verdict helped set off the city’s 1992 riots. “It felt like I was, in one way, helping a generation before me and a generation coming up after me, to let them see a good, fairly decent human being struggle with this disease,” King tells the AP.
