The Los Angeles Times says media companies may get a piece of the proposed $700 billion financial bailout. The bill, which is working its way through Congress, would provide tax breaks worth more than $470 million over the next decade for television and movie productions that shoot in the U.S., the paper says. Since that amount is peanuts to the big conglomerates, the amount would have the most effect on lower-budget productions.
