WPP Says Downturn May Last ‘Years’

WPP Group, which reported higher quarterly earnings this week, says a global recession that cuts advertising spending may last as long as three years, Adweek reports. The current downturn may last “significantly” longer than the one created by the Internet crash in 2001, the magazine says.
