Broadcast Interactive Media Powers NBC Local

The platform technology for NBC’s new local station Web sites is being supplied by Broadcast Interactive Media, TVNewsday reports. Broadcast Interactive, along with Clickability, Inc., provides content management systems to more than 150 TV and radio stations in the U.S., TVNewsday says. “NBC is able to get the best of both worlds: Web. 2.0 and open-source capabilities without sacrificing time to market or the cost savings that go with the ability to make site changes internally,” BIM CEO Timur Yarnell said in a statement.
