Meredith Invests in ‘Real Girls’

Meredith Corp. has invested in the San Francisco-based Real Girls Media Network, MediaPost reports. Real Girls, which bills itself as the premiere online destination for women 25-54, is made up of about 30 female-focused communities and social networks, thus adding about 3 million unique visitors to Meredith’s existing stream of roughly 12 million unique visitors a month, MediaPost says. “This environment is creating more opportunities,” said Meredith Interactive senior VP Lauren Wiener. “We’re looking for additional acquisitions and we’re not looking to slow down at all.”
