Comcast Corp. has put in the successful bid to buy the San Francisco Bay Area’s Alameda Power & Telecom, Multichannel News reports. Comcast will pay $15 million for the system, which has 9,500 video customers and 6,600 data customers in the community east of San Francisco, Multichannel says. Ninety-five percent of the cable operation’s note holders have agreed to the system’s sale, according to the utility’s Web site.
