Cable Fights Pole Price Hike in Letter to FCC

Nov 14, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Cable operators issued a letter to the Federal Communications Commission asking the commission not to establish a uniform price for attaching to utility poles, Broadcasting & Cable says. In the letter, cable operators said broadband providers should pay the same rate to attach to poles as cable operators do. Phone companies want cable operators’ rates to increase because they offer both broadband and cable service, B&C says.
