CNN’s awe-inspiring buying power is examined today in the New York Observer. CNN’s plethora of political pundits, its CNN Grills and those old chestnuts—the “Magic Wall” and those Election Night holograms—are used as exhibits A, B, C and D as proof of CNN’s $1.1 billion in revenue. “When you know that you have the resources, it liberates the creative side,” says CNN’s U.S. president Jonathan Klein.
