Local Interactive Advertising Growth Slowing

Up 47% this year, the growth of local interactive advertising is expected to stall considerably next year, a report by Borrell Associates found. MediaWeek reports that after growing relatively quickly over the last few years, the report predicts only an 8% increase for the advertising medium in 2009. Although its pace will have slowed, local interactive advertising still fares better than other forms of advertising. Offline media, the report found, will decline by 2% in 2009.
