MLB.com Drops Microsoft for Adobe

Nov 18, 2008  •  Post A Comment

MLB.com has dropped Microsoft’s Silverlight video platform in favor of Adobe Flash for its live and on-demand video services, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The two-year deal is another feather in Adobe’s online-video-cap; the company dominates the marketplace, with 81% of all online videos viewed using Adobe technology. Along with MLB.com’s MLB.tv live streaming service, Adobe will power MLB.com’s highlight and library video clips, B&C says.
