NBC Universal is requesting that its “Project Runway” breach-of-contract lawsuit against the Weinstein Co. be moved back to a New York state court from a federal court, Multichannel News says. NBC, which says Weinstein failed to gave the network first right of refusal before moving the reality series to Lifetime Television, originally filed the lawsuit in the New York Supreme Court in April, Multichannel News reports. Lifetime in October removed the case from state court to federal court by filing a copyright claim, which comes under U.S. jurisdiction.
