The Council of Better Business Bureau’s Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) has sent DVD commercials for the films “The Incredible Hulk,” “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” and “Iron Man” to the Motion Picture Association of America for review, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The submission comes as part of a deal between CARU and the MPAA to review commercials for theatrical releases and DVDs of content rated PG-13 before airing during programming aimed at children under 13, the trade says. The head of the MPAA ratings board previously said there should be no strict rule against films rated PG-13 advertising during younger children’s programming, B&C adds.
