Meredith Communications says its retransmission consent talks with Cable One in Phoenix have “made no progress,” Broadcasting & Cable reports. If the two do not see progress by Wednesday, Cable One will be forced to drop its signal of CBS affiliate KPHO, which could have a significant effect on NFL playoffs and NCAA bowl game coverage, the trade says. Station VP and general manager Ed Munson warned Cable One in November that there would be no extension to the contract beyond Dec. 31 if a new deal isn’t reached, B&C says.
