TWC to Pull Viacom Networks on Jan. 1

Dec 30, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Time Warner Cable will drop carriage of Viacom networks, including MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon, as of Jan. 1 after the two companies failed to reach a carriage fee agreement, Deadline Hollywood Daily reports. According to a statement from TWC, the move will affect all Time Warner Cable subscribers in the U.S., resulting in the loss of 19 channels, the site says. Viacom was seeking an additional 25 cents per month per subscriber for carriage, a deal it calls “equitable” with other deals it has secured with other cable companies across the country, DHD adds.
