One of the new hosts of the syndicated show “At the Movies” is the subject of criticism in a harsh article in the Los Angeles Times that leads with the question: Is Ben Lyons the most hated film critic in America? Lyons, the son of New York film critic Jeffrey Lyons is filling one of the seats once occupied by Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel on the show. “He has no taste,” Erik Childress, VP of the Chicago Film Critics Assn., tells the paper. “Everyone thinks he’s a joke.”

  1. Ben Lyons is NOT a critic. He’s a fan with connections. He’s Joe Lunch bucket without any real experience. How can he call him self a critic when he pops out his Digital Cam for a quick Pic with his Entertainer Guests. How can he be objective. He is a person that just wants to see his name attached to quotes in Movie Ads. He is five minutes past his 15 minutes of fame. Enough of this dude, please.
