Bankruptcy may be looming for Charter Communications after two subsidiaries failed to pay scheduled interest payments worth $73.7 million by a mid-January deadline, the Hollywood Reporter says. The Paul Allen-controlled cable operator says it has a grace period until mid-February to make the payments. It will be in default if it fails to make the payments by then.
