The Consumer Electronics Association said there is no need to delay the DTV switch, citing the availability of set-top converter boxes eligible for government vouchers through nationwide and online retailers, TVNewsday reports. After conducting an informal survey with retailers, CEA president-CEO Gary Shapiro said, “Converter boxes are in stock and available from retail outlets within reach of all Americans, and manufacturers and retailers will meet consumer demand. The DTV transition is on schedule and will be successful,” according to TVNewsday.

  1. Forty dollars for a converter box is affordable(at $0 cost for someone with a coupon). Circuit City and other retailers start their boxes at $50 and up. It may take a while for some in America to catch up financially.

  2. Wow, amazing blog layout! How long have you been blogging for? you make blogging look easy.
