Web series are facing the difficult challenge of developing and maintaining an audience beyond their first episode or few installments, Advertising Age reports. Based on a study it commissioned from TubeMogul, an online video tracking and distribution service, the trade says that among the 50 highest-profile Web series, the average viewer drop from first to second episodes was 64%, on aggregate, with many series not lasting beyond the 10th episode.
