Four Google executives went on trial yesterday in Milan for criminal charges of defamation and privacy violation over a three-minute video posted on the company’s Italian site that mocked a child with Down Syndrome, the New York Times reports. Three of the executives, who were not directly involved with the video, are Google Chief Legal Officer David Drummond; former Chief Financial Officer George Reyes; and Global Privacy Counsel Peter Fleischer; while a fourth wasn’t identified, the newspaper says, citing a Google spokesman.
