“American Idol” alum Jennifer Hudson was the big winner at the NAACP Image Awards, broadcast Thursday night from Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium, after she won awards for new artist, duo and album, the Hollywood Reporter says. Tyler Perry, who co-hosted the show with Halle Berry, took four prizes for his TBS series “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” including best comedy series and acting awards for LaVan Davis, Lance Gross and Keshia Knight Pulliam. ABC’s hospital drama “Grey’s Anatomy” nabbed three awards: for drama series, actress Chandra Wilson and a writing award for show creator Shonda Rhimes, the trade publication says.
