“The Jerry Springer Show” is likely to leave its Chicago base for Stamford, Conn., about 30 miles from New York, because of tax credits being offered to producer NBC Universal by Connecticut, the Chicago Tribune reports. The state, home to NBCU parent General Electric, has offered NBCU a tax credit worth 30% of production costs for “Springer,” which has been renewed for its 19th season next year, the newspaper says.
