Almost everyone—97% of respondents—had heard something about the Feb. 17 digital television transition date, while 81% said they had heard a lot, according to a Pew Research Center’s weekly survey of news consumers, Broadcasting & Cable reports. While a top reason for the delay until June for the DTV conversion was to allow more time to distribute subsidies for DTV-converter boxes, 77% of households said the switch will not affect TVs they use in their households, the publication says.
