The National Telecommunications & Information Administration received suggestions from the public on how to define unserved and underserved broadband areas, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The definition will help decide where to award $7.2 billion in broadband stimulus funds, the publication says. Given the many suggestions offered, the definition could appear to include almost every resident in the United States, including those whose can’t afford broadband fees, the publication says.
