A group of bipartisan senators have asked the FCC, the Commerce Department
and the Agricultural Department to push unserved communities to the top of
the list with providing stimulus funds for broadband access, Broadcasting &
Cable reports. In a letter, Senator Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., asked the FCC to
prioritize on getting broadband to unserved communities, or the 8% of
households which don’t get access, the trade paper says.
