AT&T Sees Competition on Price

AT&T, seeking permission to enter the cable TV business in Greenville, S.C., said it expects prices to drop was it competes with incumbent provider Charter, the Greenville News reports. “I don’t think competition alone can trigger a product value decrease,” Charter executive Anthony Pope replied at a city council meeting Monday. “Frankly, we’ve had competition since we’ve been in the market,’ he said referring to satellite providers DirecTV and Dish Network.
