Canoe Ventures responded to criticism that the company’s advertising product has privacy and antitrust issues by saying in an e-mail that it complies with privacy rules, Broadcasting & Cable reports. “Canoe Ventures is designing and building products not only to comply with the comprehensive privacy rules that govern the cable industry but also according to best practices in protecting consumer privacy,” the company said in an e-mail, the trade paper says. Its product is on track to begin next month, the publication reports.
