Gannett Revenue Down 15% for Q1

Apr 16, 2009  •  Post A Comment

Gannett TV’s revenue was down 15% for the first quarter compared with last year, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The company earned a total $143.5 million in revenue, versus last year’s $170.2 million for the same time period, the trade publication says. Some of the losses were attributed to lower campaign spending and drops in retail and auto ads, but those were offset by higher Super Bowl returns and retransmission revenues, B&C says.
