Meredith Corp.’s broadcasting revenue plunged 27% in its fiscal third quarter to $57 million, while ad sales at the unit slumped 31% partly because of lower auto sales, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The unit reported operating profit of $1.3 million for the quarter, and operating costs declined 5%, the trade paper says.
