Boston Stations’ Ad Revenue Down 13%

Advertising revenue at Boston-area local TV stations dipped 13%, or $66 million, during the past year, the Boston Globe reports. The drops come after a big decrease in political ad spending and some of the major business sectors, including automotive, have cut back drastically on ads, the newspaper says. Boston was particularly affected due to the decreased competition for voters’ attention in several races, the Globe notes.
