Burnett’s ‘Expedition’ Melds Ads, Action

Mark Burnett’s “Expedition Africa: Stanley and Livingstone” will debut May 31, marking Burnett’s first original show for cable in years, Advertising Age reports. The show will follow the route taken by Dr. David Livingsone and Henry Morton Stanley in their nine-month trip through Tanzania, although the series will include Subaru vehicles, the publication points out. The use of the 2.5i Outback is part of the show’s product integration deals, which also include Orbitz and Fidelity, the trade paper says.
