A&E sued Genuine Entertainment in a dispute over who came up with the idea for “Steven Seagal: Lawman,” a reality series about the actor that will air on the network later this year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

A&E said in the federal lawsuit that Genuine is wrong in claiming that the cable network stole its idea. The ideas for a Segal reality series that Genuine proposed during 2007 meetings were different from the series that ended up being developed, A&E claimed.
