Beyonce and Lady Gaga received the most nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards, Daily Variety says.

Britney Spears picked up 7 nominations, while Coldplay, Eminem, and Kanye West, each nabed four.

Beyonce’s "Single Ladies," Eminem’s "We Made You," Lady Gaga’s "Poker Face" Spears’ "Womanizer," and West’s "Love Lockdown" will all be in contention for the video of the year award.

Green Day, Muse, Pink, and Taylor Swift and are scheduled to perform during the September, 13 telecast in Gotham, with host, Russell Brand.
